History Groups
General History > Local History > Architecture
Political & Social History- This group meets on the third Monday of each month at the Kings Centre at 10.30 a.m.  Subjects so far have ranged from Shakespeare/Marlowe,  the Korean War, The Weimar Republic and characters as diverse as Nell Gwynne and Lady Jane Grey.   We also had a talk on the Suffragette Movement.

Architecture - Meeting on third Thursday in the month 2.00 p.m. at Wigston Library. Development of Architecture historically will be studied and discussed up to the present time and into the future.

Local History - The Local History Group meets on the first Thursday morning of each month at 10.00. a.m. at Wigston Library or 10.30 a.m. if at a pre arranged venue.  So far we have had visits to the Council Offices, All Saints Church and St. Wistans Church.  We have also had guided walks around the local area.
